HandySchool Daily Substitute Login and Google Access Directions

1. POWER ON the Newline Interactive Whiteboard by pressing the POWER BUTTON found in the lower, left corner of the board.
   
   
2. Select the PC icon found on either side of the screen. Be patient as the connected computer behind the board is powering on and may take a few minutes.
   
   
   
3. Use one or two fingers to swipe up from the bottom of the screen.
   The windows login screen will appear.
   
   
4. DOUBLE-TAP the USERNAME field to access the on-screen keyboard.
   
   
5. Enter the daily substitute USERNAME and PASSWORD.  The password will be provided by the campus' front office staff.  
   Again, be patient as the computer is creating a new profile. This could take up to 10 minutes.
   
   
6. The following steps must be followed only the FIRST TIME a user logs into a board:
   1. TAP & HOLD on the grey Windows TASKBAR found on the bottom of the screen.  This is the long border that runs across the bottom of the screen.
      
   2. Select SHOW TOUCH KEYBOARD BUTTON
      The keyboard button will appear in the lower right-hand corner of the screen near the date/time; Tap this button when in a text field and you need to type.
      
      
      
7. If you would like the keyboard to automatically pop up when you can type:
   Windows Icon (four squares, bottom left corner of the screen→ Settings (gear icon) → Devices → Typing →Toggle ON- Show the touch keyboard when not in tablet mode and there's no keyboard attached. 
   
   
8. To get to the SHARED Google Drive folder, double-click on the CHROME icon found on the desktop:
   
   
   

9. Click the person/profile icon in the top right corner and then +Add

10. Then, click the Sign In button found in the middle of the screen.
    

11. Enter the daily substitute EMAIL provided by the campus' front office staff. 
    1. Note- the EMAIL is the username with @gcisd.net at the end.
       
       
12. You will then be prompted to ClassLink, where you will need to enter the USERNAME and PASSWORD. 
    
    
13. Once logged in, click the APP LAUNCHER ("waffle")  found at the top, right corner of the screen:
    
    
    
14. Tap DRIVE:
    
    
    
15. On the left side of the screen, tap  Shared drives:

   16. Double-tap the HMS DAILY SUB Shared Drive

   17. Find and open the folder with the correct teacher's last name

         1. In this folder you will find any resources the teacher left to facilitate the class.

         2. Links are typically underlined and in a colored font.
